Nhs High School, Membership in local NHS chapters is an honor bestowed upon a student by a Faculty Council and is based on the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Students become eligible for the National Honor Society (NHS) after their junior year. Students selected for membership are expected to continually demonstrate qualities of the four virtues of NHS - Scholarship, Character, Service and Leadership - by which they were selected. At that point, they need a weighted average of 90 or better for candidacy. APS respects our students’ rights to engage in peaceful protest and express their opinions.
